Last updated: 11 May 2026
What POPIA Is
The Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) is South Africa's privacy law for the processing of personal information by public and private bodies.
The Act is intended to protect personal information, set minimum requirements for lawful processing, establish the Information Regulator, and give people rights relating to their personal information.
Our Approach
UIF Calculators is designed to provide estimates without asking for unnecessary personal information. The unemployment, leave, VAT, and compound interest calculators use the numbers you enter to produce an estimate on the website.
We do not ask for your ID number, UIF claim number, uFiling password, banking details, employer details, or medical records.
